PTSA Scholarship The Merancas Middle College High School (MMCHS) PSTA was established in 2018 and provides support and funds to specific school needs. The MMCHS PTSA introduced the PTSA Book Scholarship as a way to take an active role in recognizing graduating student’s achievements both in the community and academically. Each year the PTSA considers the funds available to determine the amount of the Book Scholarship and the number of scholarships available. Selections are made by a panel consisting of the Merancas PTSA members. The scholarships will be payable to the four-year University or two-year college of the recipient’s choice. INSTRUCTIONS Please complete the online application form. Scholarship applications and recommendation letters should be submitted no later than March 1st. The following information should be considered when applying for the scholarship award: Applicants must be a graduating senior and must exemplify overall excellence in academics, leadership, character, integrity and community involvement. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be considered. THE
MMCHS PTSA Scholarship Selection Committee will collect the following information from each student applicant: *Student contact information *Description of school involvement and leadership *Description of community involvement *Two letters of recommendation addressing the student’s character (may use a recommendation letter sent to a desired college or institution) *College acceptance letter *Separately, please email your graduation photo to [email protected] Scholarship applications and recommendation letters should be submitted no later than March 1st.
